About Us

Yosemite Sequoia Resource Conservation and Development Council serves the rural and foothill communities of Fresno, Madera, Mariposa, Tulare counties. Council members are diverse and range from, Tribal Governments, Resource Conservation Districts, boards of Supervisors, Fire Safe Councils, Community Development Councils, Economic Development Councils, educational institutes, and other community groups.

The Council, in conjunction with its partners and supporters, are able to develop projects and programs that directly benefit the local community while maintaining a regional platform. Usually projects/programs evolve organically from direct needs of community groups. Once needs are identified we work to obtain funding, leverage capacity and link resources in order to develop a successful project/program. We encourage you to contact us with any ideas regarding environmental concerns, small business plans, volunteer needs etc. In addition, we can assist with letters of support, funding ideas, program development, grant writing and preparation, obtaining non-profit status, fiscal agent services and more.

The possibilities are endless when we all work together!

To be a catalyst for developing and implementing projects that create resilient, healthy, and safe communities and ecosystems in the Southern Sierra Nevada.

To conserve natural resources and promote resource-based economic development that improves communities for current and future generations by working collaboratively with Council partners to advance projects to benefit the Southern Sierra Nevada Region.
