CARE Video 2012

The Yosemite/Sequoia RC&D Council worked closely with California Amer-Asian Resource Education (CARE) in order to create an environmental education video in Hmong with English subtitles. This video, Care for the Land or Kev Yos Hav Zoov & Tzuag Toj Roob Hauv Pes, was made possible with funding from the Sierra Nevada Conservancy (Prop 84).

The purpose of the film is to educate the public about outdoor activities such as camping, hunting, fishing, and preserving natural resources. The creation of the video was a collaborative effort which included the CA Department of Fish and Game, CA Hunter Education Program, Unisted States Forest Service and the Natural Resources Conservation Service. The Council would like to thank CARE for their hard work and commitment to this project – it was their expertise that made this possible. This collaboration allowed the project to be leveraged ultimately creating over 3,000 videos – 2,950 more than what the original grant agreement outlined.
