Yosemite West Fuel Projects Completed

In June 2010 Yosemite West, a residential community adjacent to Yosemite National Park, received their fifth and final National Fire Plan grant to create defensible space.

After a decade worth of work the projects are complete and the community is fire safe - congradulations!

The Y/S RC&D Council was one of ten recipients of a Woody Biomass Utilization Grant in the nation. This grant will help to create a community scale biomass facility in a rural community of the Sierras.
